Year 2s Perform at the North Somerset Dance Festival

It was with great pleasure that I drove across to Weston Super Mare last night to watch Seahorse Class perform on stage at the Weston Playhouse.

My heart filled with pride and joy, witnessing their dances to "Thriller" and "Can't Stop The Feeling!" On Tuesday night Penguin Class had done the same.

This is a wonderful showcase for how Mrs Blackmore Squires leads our curriculum to ensure children get a wide range of opportunities to develop the 4 attributes of the school vision, Aspiring Leaders, Global Citizens, Lifelong Learners and Resilient, Confident Children.

Both classes have worked really hard to prepare for the show and learn both dances. Thanks to everyone who helped with the costumes and supported this event.

Performing in front of a packed Theatre on a professional stage is a wonderful opportunity and takes a huge amount of Courage - Our value for March. Our Year 2 children shone on both nights and we are really proud of them and the staff and parent volunteers.

A big thank you to Mrs Jo Frost for the choreography and to the North Somerset PE Association for organising this fantastic opportunity.

Mr Riordan

Proud to be Head of PPS.
