KS2 Sports Day
A big thank you to everyone who came along and cheered on our children this afternoon. I hope you liked the new format. It certainly felt a lot more relaxed and enjoyable on our side of the blue rope.
Well done to Mrs Moss for taking a risk and trying something new with the children at the heart of her decision making.
I was really proud of the sporting behaviour on show this afternoon and the way the children encouraged each other. The year 6 boys shaking hands was very moving to see at the start of their final race!
Competitive sport is important on lots of levels. It can only happen if children are prepared to come last in a race or event. I applaud their bravery and selflessness. It isn't about being the best, it's about being your best.
I am proud of everyone that took part and all of the adults who helped make it such a special afternoon. Well Done all!
Special mention to Mr Carpenter who gives so much to our school. A great role model to us all.
