Bike, Board and Scooter Safety

Heads are very delicate things and contain our most vital organ. It is therefore a matter of some importance that we look after them.

As a school we strongly recommend that all children and adults wear suitable head protection. Modern helmets are light, comfy and come in a range of styles. Please encourage your children to wear their helmets when they scoot, ride or board.

The school encourages children and adults to use sustainable methods of transport. Coming to school on a bike or scooter can be a great start to the day as well as a fab way of exercising.

Likewise, time spent with family or friends on bike, boards or scooters is a great way to have fun, whether you do that in the community or at designated parks or leisure facilities. Skateboarding will be in the 2020 summer Olympics so is likely to rise in popularity.

Remember, there is nothing cool about a head injury. Get it on and do up that chin strap. It won't help if it is in a backpack!
