Congratulations Friends of School

A very big well done and thank you to the Friends of School for an amazing year of fundraising which when added up raised a very impressive, £17,871.

It is no secret that schools have come under a huge amount of financial pressure and our school has not escaped the harsh realities of what this means on the ground.

The money that the FOS raise has become an invaluable source of income to us and makes a very critical difference to what we are able to offer. In addition, the events they plan and deliver help build relationships, a sense of community and bring the school to life. They offer a wide range of activities for children and adults with something for everyone from bingo, discos,  quizzes, fairs and even camping.

Please check out their Facebook page and follow them to keep up to date with upcoming events and news.

You may not know that every year they pay for or part fund the following  commitments as well as fundraising towards one or two main projects.

The Year 6 Lifeskills trip.

Anti-Bullying Week.

A pantomime for the whole school on the first day back in January.

A class fund for additional resources allocated to each teacher.

Last year the big project was the new school library and they funded the creation of a multi-sensory room that we are about to open.

This year they are helping to fund forest schools activities, a new audio and visual system for the school hall and the renewal of our outside area play provision which is approaching the end of its life.

It is impossible to imagine running the school without their generous support and without your generosity and support for their events. I look forward to seeing you all across the school year at their many memorable evenings and activities.
